Berny Berger to speak Nov. 10 at Renville County HRA/EDA lunch-and-learn

Nov. 6—OLIVIA — Small business development resources will be the featured topic at the next Renville County Housing and Redevelopment Authority and the Economic Development Authority lunch-and-learn, according to a news release from the organization.

This event will take place virtually at noon Wednesday, Nov. 10. Attendees will learn how the Small Business Development Center can assist entrepreneurs and businesses, at no cost to them, with a variety of technical assistance, including business plans, financial projections, loan packaging, marketing, and more.

The featured speaker will be Berny Berger. Berger has been a Southwest Minnesota Small Business Development Center consultant since January of 2017. Her previous experience has included owning her own small business, 20 years in business accounting and office management, and 19 years in the business finance program at Southwest Initiative Foundation, 17 years of which were managing their SBA and USDA Microloan programs.

Berger also assists her husband in their farming operation near Gibbon, Minnesota.
